Our student outreach program is designed to educate students, teachers, counselors, and administrators about the possible careers available in advanced manufacturing and to help schools provide additional real-life experiences for their students. Geater strives to promote manufacturing to the next generation of workers.
Geater participates in many local school career/job fairs, STEM festivals, and career exploration events. We have hosted tours of our facility, teachers through the Iowa Externship program, students for job shadow opportunities, and internships through school-to-work programs. Geater also partners with schools to provide an assortment of classroom activities for all grade levels, classroom speakers on topics such as resume writing, job interview skills, and advanced manufacturing. Along with our interactions, Geater has donated materials, equipment, and helped schools with equipment maintenance.
